NOV 30, 2020

Every HR and business leader has been faced with growing mental health concerns among their employees. The number of adults reporting symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder during the pandemic has jumped to one in three , from an average of one in ten before February.

In this session of Redesigning the Future of Work , we continued our conversation on Mental Health at Work, focusing on how leaders can best address mental health challenges given the diverse needs among their workforce.

Some of the key take-aways you will hear include:

  • 50%+ of our attendees reported managers at their companies have not received leadership training on how to address mental health challenges with their team. There is a major opportunity for companies to provide more resources and training.
  • 62% of employees feel more comfortable talking about mental health when a leader openly discusses it themselves.
  • Ask your team open-ended questions about how to best get their work done.
  • Encourage employees to review their individual achievements since January 2020 to prepare for performance reviews and shift to a strengths-based mindset.
